Last night..

..was a success with both swaddling and nursing..
However it wasn't that hard because after crying (for about 15mins) herself to sleep, Evelyne slept through the night!!! I still get a 'pass' though, right???

AMEN to sleep people!!!!! I'm into that! :o)

Evelyne's 6 Month Check up!!!

First off, I CAN NOT believe my tiny girl is 6 MONTHS! I feel like I just had her! It's crazy how fast time has FLOWN by!!!!! I've had so much fun with Evelyne and I've learn so much from her!

Here are E Baby's Stats!

Weight: 19 lbs 8 Oz ... 96th Percentile
Height: 27 1/2 inches .. 96th Percentile
Head: 17.24 inches .... 85th Percentile

She's huge. lol But, Evelyne's a HAPPY, very HEALTHY baby!! No complaints here! :o)

The doctor was very happy with how well Evelyne is doing. She is sitting up all by herself. (Yay E!!!) And she's rolling over well.
Just yesterday Evelyne's second tooth popped through!!!

Her doctor suggested not swaddling anymore when sleeping... I'm OKAY with it too. My swaddle just isn't holding. I'm too cheap to go buy a swaddling blanket her size so (don't make fun of me...) I use three different blankets to keep her swaddled. And she can still break through sometimes, more so just recently. So I say HALLELUJAH! We're giving it a shot tonight. I'm also going to try not nursing her back to sleep.. assuming she does wake up in the middle of the night.. That's going to be a tough one! I don't know how to put her back to sleep with out feeding. That probably sounds horrible but it's true! She's the child of Stephen and I- stubborn as heck! lol - Wish me luck! :o/

4th of July at the BEACH

I'm a few weeks late but I wanted to share what great fun we had with the Taylor Clan at the beach for the fourth of July. We had a blast! Us and Brent, Chelsee and Lincoln headed up there after the boys got out of work/school on Thursday. Friday we decided to check out a few garage sales. The boys did great! Steph found a Ipod dock home!!! Five Bucks! Yippeee!! We've almost bought a band new for around $100 if not more, several times!! Thank goodness we didn't! Us girls stayed in the car most of the time because the babies were doing so well!! Here was our result to a morning of garage'in:




So precious! Lincoln and Evelyne fell right to sleep. Such good babies for their Mama's! :)

Later that day we went and played at the beach for a little bit! So much fun! I'm not much of a sand person, (and I love the beach, i know.. weird, right?! but it was everywhere and in everything!!!! lol The boys had their fun digging holes and barring Stephen. We played a little volleyball, played in the water and with our adorable babies. :)



Yup.. That's my husband. :) Steph and Brent were pretty proud of their sand work...

That night Scott, Alisha, Ayva, Biff and Mac didn't get there till i think it was... 2 in the morning??? And of course we had to PLAY SPADES! Yes yes, Jeffrey and I were victorious and we were the SPADES CHAMPIONS. :) However the game lasted till about 5:30 AM! :) So while everyone else was sleeping in, Evelyne and I went for a walk so we didn't wake anyone up. :)



K... Tired of writing, and you're probably getting bored with my lame commentary... here's some more picture of our great weekend! :)

On our way home we stopped in Astoria for dinner and to go up the Astoria Column... This was E's first time in a high chair(at a restaurant)... notice the pillow, she needed a little help. :) And her first cracker and her first time going up with Astoria Column!!

brings back memories...

So, having a mother that works away from home has it's ups and it's down. I was just reminded by my younger brother and sister one of the ups- being home alone during the summer... all day! (love you mom ;o) Back in my day my brother Emilio and I would stay up REAL late, and then sleep in even LATER. :) And then we'd get up, eat, watch tv and pick on each other. Then probably pick on each other some more. So funny! I'd turn his play station off and he'd poke me with a fork- Everyone does that, right?? lol :) ANYWAYS, here is how Hayden and Keaton are bonding. (this is hilarious!) It's times like these that make me miss living with my parents! (I know, crazy right?) I can't believe how old they are, 13 and 14. Hayden's going to be a freshman! WEIRD.

If you don't think this is funny, sorry. lol

three day weekend..

a walk to the park...

Today instead of being lazy and sitting in front of the t.v. we decided to go for a great walk and enjoy this beautiful day! I was kind of hesitant because I went for a walk with Evelyne yesterday (by myself while Steph was at work...) and it was so fun! However... I wasn't even half way home and she decided to get fussy. Then she decided to cry and cry. lol She was done being in her stroller that is for sure. And it was warm out and so... (what a little princess) I had to carry her the rest of the way home and push the stroller. Ha! I looked like an idiot that's for sure. Walk a block then switch sides... walk a block then switch sides. I went for a walk and my arms got the work out! hehe Anyways... So Stephen, Evelyne and I walked to the park today and had some fun. Stephen and I played a little soccer and some catch. It was fun! And Evelyne watched from her stroller and actually enjoyed it! :) Then we played around a little on the playground.
