a walk to the park...

Today instead of being lazy and sitting in front of the t.v. we decided to go for a great walk and enjoy this beautiful day! I was kind of hesitant because I went for a walk with Evelyne yesterday (by myself while Steph was at work...) and it was so fun! However... I wasn't even half way home and she decided to get fussy. Then she decided to cry and cry. lol She was done being in her stroller that is for sure. And it was warm out and so... (what a little princess) I had to carry her the rest of the way home and push the stroller. Ha! I looked like an idiot that's for sure. Walk a block then switch sides... walk a block then switch sides. I went for a walk and my arms got the work out! hehe Anyways... So Stephen, Evelyne and I walked to the park today and had some fun. Stephen and I played a little soccer and some catch. It was fun! And Evelyne watched from her stroller and actually enjoyed it! :) Then we played around a little on the playground. precious gift

these past couple nights i've been doing my typical 'blog stalking'. i find myself jumping from blog to blog and then i don't even know where i started. well for some reason i've been coming across some really sad blogs. i'm sure everyone has seen, heard about or read the blog about audrey caroline- a mothers precious baby girl who is now in heaven. well i've come across a couple other overwhelming stories. if you haven't noticed i have added a couple links to the right of my blog. these sites i felt needed to be added for some reason i still don't know why. after reading several posts of each of these blogs i've realized how thankful i am to my Heavenly Father for all that He has provided me with and all that He has blessed me with. i've always been so thankful for everything.

reading these stories i can't help but feel so sad for the mothers that have had to go through the pain of loosing their babies. every night in my prayers i thank my Heavenly Father for my sweet Evelyne. i'm so blessed to have her in my life. i'm so fortunate to be her mother. i love every bit of her and i can't imagine life with out her. i'm so thankful for every breathe that she takes for every cry that she cries and for every disturbed nights sleep she gives me. i'm so thankful for her heart, lungs, kidneys, fingers, toes- everything. Evelyne is one of the most precious gifts that has ever been given to me and i am forever grateful. because i have been so blessed it makes me want to be the best that i can be. i want to be a great example for my daughter and let her know how much her Heavenly Father loves her and her family. i want her to know how much her daddy and i love her as well.

for many reasons right now my heart is so full and so grateful. even though these stories are very sad i thought that i would share them with you.

Rollin' baby!

Not sure if I have shared this in a previous post but at Evelyne's 4 month check up her doctor asked if she had been rolling over yet. As I started to answer her with my sad answer "no", she rolled over!!! She hadn't done it since.. UNTIL last night!! And she's rolled over at least 5 times today!!!

I'm so happy and excited to share that Evelyne rolls over now! I've been waiting and waiting for her to finally get it! She's been trying for awhile now and she finally got it down! I've only seen her go from her tummy to her back but i'm so happy with that. She makes me so proud. :)

Now lets get that baby crawlin! lol JK!

a little bit of everything..

there's been so many things going on- instead of posting for each thing i've decided to do ONE BIG post. =)

time is just flying by and i can not believe it is june already! this summer is going to be great! camping trips, going swimming, fishing, WEDDINGS and so many more events that i'm extremely excited for.

since evelyne has turned the big 4 months it seems like she is learning things so stinkin' quick! not only does she like to smile, chuckle, pull mommy's hair (and daddy's chest hair!! hehe) she is grabbing things, she is moving around in circles (not quite rolling over- she knows her mommy wants her to so bad so she is being a stinker ;o). Evelyne can stand in her saucer and touch the bottom!!! =( she is getting so big. She sleeps in her big girl room now and most nights she sleeps right through the night. yay for sleep!





evelyne has had a few "firsts" these last couple of months and i'm soo excited to share!

i've been giving evelyne rice cereal since she was 3 months so when she turned 4 months i decided she would love to try something new. so, i started her on some yummy

over memorial day weekend we went camping with the whole familia. it was a blast! we started off spending a night with my parents up at mayfield lake and then we ventured off to Mt. Rainier to meet up with the taylor clan. it was so cold but we bundled up the little girl so good she actually broke a sweat. =) better than catchin a cold! ;o)

just this last weekend we went to the beach. this was evelyne's first time at the beach! (noticing the trend..?)


Grandma and Grandpa Taylor let us stay at their beach house! He had a great time! Thank you grandma and grandpa!!!

staying the night at the beach was a last minute thing so we didn't get there till about 1130 at night. evelyne was a princess and slept the whole time so when we got there we all played for a little bit

she even decided to sit up for a little bit!!! (she's almost got it!!! i'm such a proud mommy!) and no this isn't one of those "hurry up and take the picture"; she did it for atleast '20 mississippi's!' hehe

later the next day we met up with brent and chelsee and evelyne's pal lincoln at sea side. we went to the beach. ate a litte shopped around at some stores... ate a little bit more.. lol we had some cousin fun!

like i mentioned before, evelyne sleeps in her own room now. i started putting her to bed in her own room at 4 months. so it's only been a few weeks. it was so hard at first!! i almost stopped for selfish reasons- i like sleeping with my little cuddle bug. it took some adjusting and now i'm really thankful. :) we've been having to do a little bit of the crying it out method which has also been hard!!! but thanks to my ladies (tracie,chels,alisha and tahnya) for letting me ask all the silly questions in the world and for reminding me that it is ok for evelyne to cry a little!!!- she is now a more happy more rested PEACH in the morning!! And here's the proof!!
