We've been blessed!

So, I don't want to 'jump the gun' and blurt the good news out too soon but....
STEPHEN GOT A NEW JOB!

This has been a horrible week, let me tell ya.. For the last month or two Stephen's hours have been getting significantly cut. When we decided we would be able to afford an apartment Stephen was getting around 35-40 hrs a week.. This last week he was cut down to 16 hours a week. 16 HOURS A WEEK..

This week Stephen also found out I don't do well with Stress. :o)

Aside from doing hair part time I reception part time at a salon in Vancouver. It's a PART TIME, minimum wage job. If I weren't also doing hair, basically we would have been.. well,... screwed. Not only was I stressed over money but I was just upset at the thought of Stephen feeling upset and disappointed in himself. I didn't want him to feel that way. We've been praying praying and praying for a new job opportunity. Everything Stephen was applying for just wasn't working out. Finally just yesterday Stephen got a call from a security company called Securitas he had applied to online sometime last week. Turns out, deep down this is the job he really wanted. He wants to be a police officer and so while this is kinda close to that it'll give him a little experience. The lady that called him wanted him to come in and interview.. "well when can I come in" Turns out she had a cancellation and COULD GET HIM IN THAT DAY AT 2:30! What a blessing... After he was done with her he had to meet with another lady. "well I can just work late, if you can come in right now that would be great" Umm.. HELLO! Another blessing! Then the second lady told Stephen she had just the place for him. It was a location closer to where we live and it's day time hours. He'll be working from 40 to 60 hours a week... WITH BENEFITS! After all this happened, Stephen call me at work and told me all that had happened; I was in shock. Heavenly Father has blessed us so much! We have so much to be thankful for!

Happy ONE year anniversary to US! :o)

So.... my big surprise for our Anniversary was this last weekend... Stephen spent the last month or so planning my SURPISE!!! So I knew we were going SOMEWHERE!!! Last week Stephen decided I needed to get a swim suit.. HE TOOK ME TO THE MALL!!! I never get to go to the mall.. lol I was amazed! So I found a swim suit.. TOTALLY CUTE TOO!! So, I knew it had to do with a swim suit, could have been anything, I know. Ha Well, Thursday I told Stephen I was going to go tanning after work that day. He said I couldn't... I needed to get home. So I was like what the heck, he's up to something.. WE LEFT THURSDAY, I didn't have to go to work on Friday! He talked to my boss about it and everything. POINTS! I got packed, hot and cold clothes and we were on our way!!! After being in OREGON for a long time I asked if I could know now.. Stephen was like well... and pointed to the MAPQUEST DIRECTIONS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!! ha I'm a loser. Then I found out we were going to SAN FRANCISCO!! SO FUN! We had a blast. It was Stephs first time in Cali! We had a blast!!! So that was my big surprise! Then I had another one... Friday we went on the Bay Cruise, we went under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz :o) So fun! I've got lots of pictures i'm going to post too! :o) I love my husband so much! I can't believe it's been a year already! My goodness!!! :o)

This was a great weekend! Last night we went on a date with Brent and Chelsee. We went to WUNDERLAND! It was so much fun! Honestly, I felt like a little kid when we got inside, BUT it was amazing! Ha There was so many games to play I didn't even know where to start... We took some funny pictures... Here are a couple...

Such a Beautiful Sunday!

Yesterday Hayden spent the night with us. Stephen had 'boys night' with.. the boys. So, Hayden hung out with me. She sure is funny. She's so ME! It's so weird. She's growing up so fast, I don't like it one bit. Make up, boys, music, straightening her hair.. lol she's such a girl!

We went to Chris Bolens wedding as well. It's nice seeing everyone. Little Ayva was there...

Today was a BEAUTIFUL day!

Since I've been in primary for the last few months I hadn't been to relief society in a while.. Today was my first Sunday back! I got there and I was kind of lost. Ha. Stephen and I were in Sunday school and I told him to take me to relief society and he said I could find my way. (jack!) I can't help it, I still get lost.. lol But a lady ( i forget her name) came and grabbed me and told me she'd show me the way. It was really nice. I've been feeling kinda 'eh' about our new ward just cause it's hard going from a ward where you know everyone to a ward you don't know anyone. But today I was just really comforted and I felt welcomed.
In sacrament today we sat behind a family with a little baby.. probably younger than a year. He was so cute! He kept peaking behind his mom and dads shoulder to look at Stephen and I. SO PRECIOUS. I can't help but keep feeling teased.. We're surrounded by all these babies! I feel like it's the spirit telling us 'soon' but I'm just being too inpatient. We just need to keep patient and prayerful and know that Heavenly Father is going to bless us... :o)

Hello Hello!

Starting a new beginning!!

Well, we're all set up. We moved a couple weeks ago and we're just now feeling at home. The move it's self went well. We had friends and family there to help us and if went by very smoothly, other than the snow..

and the bugs...

Not sure if everyone knows what i'm talking about when I saw milk weed bugs.. I've heard several names for them. My parents always get them on the side of their house.. turns out the Taylors get them in their shop... We had many in our tubs and boxes and many more on the outsite of our tubs and boxes... Overall, we probably brought home a good couple hundred bugs with us. IT WAS NASTY! HORRIBLE, completely horrible. Need less to say, we got unpacked very quickly. :o)
I LOVE BEING A WIFE> Even though Stephens finds many ways to annoy the heck out of me, I so much enjoy being his wife. I love taking care of him. AND I love him taking care of me. I've come to realize he's a slob. But it's okay. :o)
No surprises yet.. :o( dang it! ;o)
We love our apartment. We love being in Vancouver! We're so close to everything! Man oh man! I went two weeks without getting gas, it was great!
I watched the Biggest loser finale last night... I'm on a diet.. :o) Since we moved out we don't eat out very much and we don't eat FAST FOOD AT ALL anymore.. Turns out Step's lost 15 lbs. ... Jerk! My time will come I suppose. He sure is a good motivator though.. Not! heh
Boys are confusing... Stephen got paid today so I asked him if we could go and find something to hang above our bed on the wall. Surprisingly he said yes! We found something we both really liked at Target but decided it was too much so we went to Kohls to look instead. EVERYTHING was half off! I found something for over the bed PLUS a couple things for the main bathroom. Stephen decided he wanted it to be his bathroom, light brown and dark brown towels and then I wanted to but fishing and seasonal pictures up.. I have a couple good ones from the mt. ANYWAYS.. For the same amount of the picture at Target was I found 4 pictures at Kohls. Wouldn't any girl in their right mind get all four.. From Stephens point of view it was too much money... and the pictures I wanted for the bathroom were korny.. (what?!?!!) So of course we argued a little and he gave in, was mean about it but gave in. ( ;o) ) BUT then took me to the bed sections said we needed to get a new comforter set cause we need one.. which we don't. SO, we ended up getting a new bed set and I get the hanging stuff next check. In the end don't I still win?! ha He makes me laugh. I tried to explain to him if he just let me spend the money on the pictures our decorating would be done, in every room, but instead we spent more money.. ha he didn't understand. What a goober. *(I hope I explained that story well enough cause it was really funny)*
Well it's 12:15 and Stephens at work. :o( I don't like it one bit! BUT next monday he starts his new shift! He's going to be working days now, I'm so excited!
Life is great. Now that we're all set up, i'm going to try and write more often. ttyl!
